Life-Saving Inventions From Dr. Saad Saad

Saad Saad is a doctor who has performed thousands of the surgical pediatric operations which has made him the most accomplished pediatric surgeon in his career. In his career time, he tried to improve the procedures and methods that have been existing. As a physician, he kept challenging the quo status by finding a way that he can reduce the pain and also risks that patients have been facing. He has been able to patent two inventions and also developed other new pediatric surgical procedures. In his career which is more than 4 decades, he was able to perform different complex pediatric surgeries for patients who were either from inside or outside the community. He was able to serve his United States community and helped the young adults and children also who came from Holyland, to include eight medical mission in Jerusalem and four medical mission in us and also the west bank so as to perform free complex surgeries on children who are poor. He holds the patent of his medical inventions.

Medical catheters they are tubes that can serve a broad range of function .tubes are inserted into the body in order to treat a medical condition and also help in performing a surgical procedure. They provide access to surgical instruments, fluids and drain gases, and other tasks which vary with the type of catheter. There is a certain type of catheters which can be left inside the body, can be permanent or temporary.

So that a catheter can be put in the patient’s body at the right location, it will enable the surgeons to locate the catheter’s exact position. In traditional ways, so that a surgeon could locate the exact position of the catheter, they had to do an X-ray. In case a single X-ray could not put any significance illness risks, then performing multiple X-rays frequently exposed the patient into repeated radiation doses. As an alternative, patients could have MRI that could be performed and then used to track the catheter instead of using X-ray. The disadvantage was that MRI machines were large and hence not portable, and it made them an impractical option. This is why Dr. Saad Saad came up with a decision of creating a device that could help in the location of the catheter and any scan machine was not a necessity for the patient’s body.

The inventions of Saad Saad have enabled the patients to avoid the use of X-rays or MRI scans when locating catheter. The device is something small, practical and portable that allows the doctors to use it in the ICU due to emergencies especially if there is no time for performing body scans so that to locate the catheter. It has also allowed the doctors to avoid the use of guide wires when tracking the replacements of the catheter and mostly if it is inserted for the first time to the patient. The guided wires could get stuck inside patients body or even break which is a hazard thing if it happens. Learn more: https://www.facebook.com/drsaadsaad12
